Some of you will recall, others won’t and a few may have repressed the memories of the 23rd of September 2016. It is, of course, the date of SearchStar’s most recent cycling event, which saw 15 intrepid, lycra-clad adventurers tackle the famous Tumble and monstrous Hay Bluff.

Things got pretty wet and gnarly that day. So, always keen to learn a lesson, the 2018 SearchStar sportive will come slightly earlier in the year - 11th May. And you’re all invited!

There are two routes for this year’s event. The first is a 55 mile beast, with more climbing than you can shake a stick at and featuring the famous Yat Rock climb. The second is a far more forgiving 30 miles and achievable by all.

Both are gloriously beautiful. Especially in May.

The plan is for everyone to start and finish their ride of choice at the Mill Race gastropub near Symonds Yat. And fear not - both routes will feature a carefully selected cafe stop for an all-important slice of cake. All you need to bring is your bike (and best pair of legs).

Below is the invite to the day - if you’d like to attend either route, or have any questions, just let us know at nick.livermore@search-star.co.uk.
